Uitzicht

In the exhibition Monument at SmithArt Middelburg (NL) are some older works I have not showed very often. Central point is the series Migrants (2012). Over and over the same picture of Vietnamese refugees on a small boat in the seventies. In every picture I did an attempt to cover the people and the boat with pencils, pastel and pens. Besides is shown the installation Of Suffering (2015). It contents of three parts, exact measurements of classical painting like Delacroix, Turner and Gericault. The sizes are made in materials that could form a floating device. The only picture I ever painted, Uitzicht or View (2007) is shown as well.
